Crop Image Online

Add a photo below, then tap the crop icon on its thumbnail to open the editor — drag inside the box to reposition it, drag the bottom-right handle to resize it, and use the rotate/flip buttons to fix orientation. Nothing is uploaded; the crop happens right in this browser tab.

Combine cropping with compression, resizing, watermarking, or format conversion in the same pass, then download the result or grab your whole batch as a ZIP.

Nothing here yet — add photos above to get started.

Only helps if your background is already one plain color (e.g. a wall) — this is color-distance math, not real subject cutout, so it won't do anything useful against busy or textured backgrounds.

Frequently asked questions

Can I crop to a specific aspect ratio, like a passport photo?

The general crop tool here is freeform — drag the handle to any shape. For an exact locked ratio, use the Passport & Visa Photo tool, which locks the crop box to your destination country's required ratio.

Does cropping reduce image quality?

No extra loss beyond the final re-encode step every edit here goes through — cropping itself just selects a region of the original pixels.

Can I undo a crop after applying it?

Tap the crop icon again on the same photo — the editor reopens with your last crop, rotation, and flip already set, so you can adjust or reset it.

Can I straighten a photo that came out sideways?

Yes — the rotate buttons handle that manually, and if "Auto-rotate using the photo's orientation data" is on in settings, sideways phone photos are straightened automatically before you even open the editor.
